Be On Time!
You know the old saying: "He'd be late to his own funeral."
Not so funny when careers and friendships expire after too
many missed deadlines by the chronically tardy among us.

Here are Six Ways To Never Be Late Again

1. Reset Your Internal Clock.

In today's hectic world, it's often too easy to convince
ourselves that we will have enough time to meet a deadline.
Reset your internal clock to accommodate your habits. If
you tend to be fifteen minutes late for every meeting or
event, reset your internal clock to be there fifteen
minutes early. Ditto if you tend to be 30 minutes late.
You'll welcome the extra time to read a magazine article
you bring along, check your cell phone messages, write down
a new idea or spend the extra minutes to mentally prepare
to be at your best.

2. Go By Real Time, Not Wishful Thinking

You can't wish the next hour into becoming two, so be
realistic about deadlines. Pro-actively letting your boss
or mate know that you can't complete an activity in an hour
(when you know it will take two) will produce more
productive results than the trouble that comes later by
promising what you can't deliver. Be honest with yourself
and with others.

3. Make and Manage a Daily Time Schedule

The quickest way to see how much time you will have in your
day is to begin your day by writing down all the tasks you
hope to accomplish. Eliminate those you can accomplish
another day to give yourself more time to circle and
complete the most important tasks first.

4. Eliminate Distractions

Don't let the threat of distractions ruin your day's
schedule and make you late. Vow not to check email, make a
call or answer your cell phone 30 minutes before a deadline
or your departure for an appointment.

5. Just Say No

Often, it's the inability to say "No" that leads to missed
deadlines and late arrivals. If you can't do more than what
already is on your day's schedule, politely decline and
include an explanation for why you don't have the time.
Example: "No. I wish I could, but I have two appointments
this afternoon." Practice makes perfect, so practice saying
a polite "No" in front of your mirror.

6. Don't Be A Party To Others Being Tardy

Others being tardy can make you late in meeting your goals,
too. Be considerate in your requests to others, recognizing
that you might be setting someone else up to be late by
setting strict deadlines. Ask if more time is needed, and
be willing to compromise. Your rewards likely will be a
stronger relationship and a job well done in gratitude.

How to Use Good Manners to Grow Your Business
In today's fast-paced, stress-packed workplace, a little
kindness can go a long way to boost your productivity and
your bottom line.

Studies by the Gevity Institute find that a friendlier
workplace can lead to double-digit revenue growth, and that
employee retention also grows with a 15 percent lower rate
of costly employee turnover.

The landmark Baltimore Workplace Civility Study reports
that rude behavior, on the other hand, reduces workforce
productivity by 37 percent. Indeed, according to the study,
"an overwhelming 84 percent believed that efforts to
improve civility in their workplace would increase their
personal productivity."

Whether you are a solo operation or a Fortune 500
executive, here are my :

Top 5 Tips To Foster A Friendly (And More
Productive)Workplace.

1. Say Please and Thank You.

A simple 'please' or 'thank you' is a staple of good
manners. A 'please' can attract a more positive response to
your requests for information, ideas or that extra effort
from co-workers and staff. A simple 'thank you' is a
powerful tool to acknowledge the importance you place on
your clients and staff.

2. Be Phone Friendly.

A negative disposition will quickly sour any phone call.
Here's a trick used by early-morning radio personalities on
days they'd rather sleep in. First, stretch your chest and
shoulder muscles to loosen up your diaphragm. Your voice
will be more clearly understood. Second, stretch your mouth
into a huge, friendly smile and keep that smile in place
during your conversation. It works!

3. Overpower Negatives.

Don't let negative outcomes or rude behavior by others
impede your performance. Overpower a negative with a
positive. If you fail, make it a positive learning
experience. React positively to negative behavior by
focusing on solving the problem, not unproductively
obsessing on the rude way the problem was presented.

4. Be Flexible.

The old adage that 'whatever can go wrong, will go wrong'
is true in business as it is in your personal life.
Sometimes, despite your best efforts, there will be wrong
outcomes. Be flexible as your pro-active weapon against
responding negatively to such events. In fact, write the
words "Be Flexible" on a piece of paper and post it at your
workstation to remind you.

5. Mind Your Email Manners.

In today's frenetic workplace, firing off a quick email
without first taking a minute or two to think about how
your message will be perceived is a fast way to lose your
good will. Before you hit the "send" button, re-read and
edit your message. Can you add a please or thank you?

How to Profit From Intellectual Assets You May Not Know You Have

How to Profit From Intellectual Assets You May Not Know You Have
"Finders, keepers. Losers, weepers." The law of the
playground has suddenly taken on new meaning in the
business world, especially for small businesses and sole
proprietors when it comes to intellectual asset management.

The stuff of copyrights, trademarks and licensing
agreements, long the domain of the biggest corporations,
can prove just as profitable for small firms who learn how
to protect and promote "intellectual" assets that may be as
close at hand as your new way of compiling customer
profiles.

Intellectual asset (property) management is not just about
hot new products; it's about new ideas and innovations that
improve on existing goods and services. It's all a matter
of "finders, keepers," which can be just as easy for the
smallest firms to play as it is for the largest.

In the course of doing business, have you developed a
marketing process that works better than the traditional
way of marketing goods or services? Did your office
assistant come up with a new "Eureka!" about how to keep
tabs on customer (client) habits? Did you add two new steps
to a production process that created more cost-efficiencies?

Look deeper. Is the way your service or product brand worth
protecting? Can it become a profit generator by co-branding
with another company? Inc. magazine in its May editions
cited the case of Starbucks licensing its name to Jim Beam
for a new liqueur, and Harley-Davidson partnering with
Coca-Cola to reap millions of dollars in royalties from
products incorporating both names.

Is what you know innovative (different) and would it be
valuable to someone else? If your answer is yes, learn how
to protect and profit from these assets or risk joining the
ranks of "losers, weepers."

Four additional tips to keep in mind:

1. Industry reports cite the growing number of Intellectual
Property (IP) lawyers courting small firms instead of
traditional big business clients. Go to Google.com and type
in "IP lawyers" along with your state or city's name. Some
IP law firm Web sites carry free articles on IP trends.

2. If you're in the development stage of an innovative new
process, idea or product, and have employed outside help,
consider the use of a confidentially agreement, or
Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), to protect your asset from
the start. One smart article on how NDAs work is at
About.com, a product of the New York Times Co., at
http://management.about.com/cs/ipandpatents/a/NDA062199.htm?
p=1.

3. Don't let your assets loose, even inadvertently, through
outgoing emails. Sandhills Publishing Company's
www.processing.com discusses ways to safeguard outgoing
email processes at www.processor.com/mirapoint-Inc.

4. Consider an outside sleuth to help you find your hidden
intellectual assets. Have you ever enlisted the help of a
friend to help you find a misplaced item? Invariably,
you'll hear, "Well, there it is, right in front of your
nose." Outside consultants with keen expertise and sharp
insights into how to spot potential intellectual assets can
prove exponentially more valuable to your bottom line than
that sharp-eyed friend.

One hurdle people find difficult to overcome is choosing their
first niche. What they're suffering is that old "paralysis by
analysis" feeling. They're thinking so hard about what will make
money via Internet marketing, that they're totally ignoring one
very important rule of business: Do what you love. If you aren't
having fun every day. What's the point?

So, what can you do? Here are some ways that you can jog
yourself into a great Internet marketing niche:

Decide what has fascinated you over the past 10 years. Maybe
it's comic books. I like comic books. Is it a good niche?
Perhaps. But you might be into fishing or gardening, or even
kite boarding. But whatever it is, it has to excite you. You
have to have a desire to want to learn more about the subject or
you already have to be very knowledgeable, but you have to enjoy
whatever your niche is.

Go to the library and walk up and down the nonfiction aisles,
while looking at the book titles. The first book you're
interested enough in to pick up might be a good choice of
Internet marketing niche. But maybe not. Keep walking until you
find something you can become engrossed in from antiques to
zoology, you'll certainly find something that draws you in.

But if that doesn't work. Try giving yourself a sleep
suggestion. When you close your eyes at night, ask yourself,
what should my Internet marketing niche be? In the morning,
you'll probably come up with an answer. No one is sure how this
works, but it does. And, it works for solving just about any
problem. Your subconscious has the information. You just need to
access it.

Don't just settle on one Internet marketing niche, though. Try
to come up with a list of about 5 that might be workable. Then,
go over to the keyword selection tool at SEOBook.com and plug
your niches in, one at a time. See what kind of traffic the main
keyword for your niche is getting. Go to AdWords and see what
kind of traffic words are getting. For example, if I plug
fishing into the "Google Traffic Estimator" I see that the
competition is high, the cost per click for AdWords is $0.69 -
$1.01 and that the term gets 8,000 - 10,000 clicks on AdWords
ads per day. That's a great niche to be in! On the other hand,
if I plug in "basketweaving," it's at the other end of the
spectrum. There's little competition, and there's only 1 click
per day. Not too good. So, go through your list, until you find
a term for which people are actively searching for and buying
products.

Finding your Internet marketing niche shouldn't be that hard.
Don't go nuts trying to decide what it is because it will
probably change with time. You're learning, so much of what you
do at the start will be changed and modified as you learn more
and progress. Just don't' freeze up. You'll accomplish exactly
zero, if you don't start somewhere.

How to Just Say No at Work

How to Just Say No at Work
The Society for Human Resource Management calls it "work
intensification"—the practice of employers trying to
squeeze more productivity (and hours!) out of their workers.

A survey by the global management consulting firm Accenture
confirms that nearly two-thirds of employees are reporting
an increased workload and exponentially higher levels of
stress. With the Internet and cell phones, more employees
also are taking their work home with them.

How can today's already overworked employees and managers
just say no without losing their jobs? It's simple: just
say no.

Stress experts at the Mayo Clinic report that the stress
that comes with trying to squeeze in too many assignments
at work, topped off with too many activities off the job,
can be remedied with that one word: no.

"Saying no is not a selfish act," Mayo Clinic researchers
wrote in a recent report. "When you say no, you'll be able
to spend quality time on the things you've already said yes
to."

Here are four tips on how to say no at work without risking
a negative response.

1. Be sensible. Do your internal homework before you
respond. Ask yourself: Is it worth risking your physical
health to avoid saying no? Overwork and over-stress can
jeopardize your overall productivity and your long-term
health and happiness. Don't risk your health and long-term
career prospects. Just say no!

2. Add a positive to a negative. When you say no, add a
positive to lessen any ill will or negative reactions to
your no. Example: "I must say no, because I want to do the
best job I can on the project I already am working on for
you."

3. Be ready with a compromise. When a superior asks you at
five minutes before the end of the workday to do extra
work, ask if you can consider this after you have completed
a project already in the works. Ask if you can respond the
next morning when you can be energized and ready with your
best answer. Ask if you can share the extra workload. Add a
compromise to your no, and you will minimize a poor
response.

4. Decorate your 'no' with good manners. When you say no,
use polite language to minimize any ill will. Say I'm
sorry. Say I respect you and wish I could say yes. Say
'please' and say 'thank you' throughout your conversation.
Keep in mind that good manners can be contagious.

It's up to you to minimize your own stress and now you've
got the tools to do it.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Viral marketing is a unique tool designed to create so much
buzz about the article itself that even the largest sites will
want to publish it.

Those who use this technique have seen incredible spikes in
their site visitation simply because viral marketing can provide
a quick boost in traffic.

In a campaign where viral marketing is successful traffic can
go from a few hundred visitors to several thousand.

How does it work?

The idea is to create content that is so compelling that when
you offer it free of charge you will find the content being used
by large websites. Because you have links in your free-to-use
article you will find readers who are interested in your writing
coming to your website to see what you offer.

This has the effect of turning on a faucet. The traffic comes
pouring in, but like most things in life it won't last.
Attention will soon focus on other new articles. Viral marketing
can be a bit like the "flavor of the month club".

So do I keep trying to create a buzz with new content?

Well, you can, but you also need to hope that other secondary
sources will continue to carry and archive your viral articles.

Think of viral marketing like the spread of a virus. The hope
is that your content will spread all over the Internet providing
positive back linking opportunities for your website that will
last much longer.

What sets viral marketing apart?

Viral marketing is often negative and controversial. It thrives
on either raising the blood pressure of the reader or jarring
the reader into considering something they have never considered
before.

The articles need to be cleverly written with titles that grab
the attention of the skimmer. These are individuals who scan
until something catches their eye. In this case it could be a
viral marketing article.

Why don't more people use viral marketing?

In my estimation there are three reasons people don't use viral
marketing.

1) They don't know what it is. They may have heard about it
before, but most have no real idea of what it is or how it
works.

2) They don't know how to write a viral marketing piece. There
really is an art form to the process of writing this type of
article. It's a skill that can be learned, but many don't take
the time to learn it.

3) The don't feel it represents their business well. The truth
is the negative feel of viral marketing and the controversial
nature of much of the content can make the use of viral
marketing problematic for some business owners.

Viral marketing is a strategy that seeks to grab a share in the
proverbial fifteen minutes of fame by rolling out a dynamic
article that can improve traffic to your website for an extended
period of time. The positive residual effect is in multiplied
backlinks from sites that will carry your article long-term. The
reason this is a positive for business owners is that a growth
in backlinks is generally viewed as improved trust by search
engines and they will reward your business site with enhanced
rankings. The best result would be better overall sales.

Perhaps the primary consideration for using viral marketing
would be whether or not the article is a positive reflection on
you and your business interests. If not then viral marketing may
not be a perfect fit.

Whether you develop a home business on the internet or at your
residence, blogging is an idea that can help promote your
company. If you have a website, it is not very difficult to
develop a blog. Your web host provider should have all the
information needed to get you up and running. If you have not
created an online presence as yet, many internet sites
(including Google) will be glad to host your blog for free.
Let's begin with an overview of blogs.

A blog is basically an online journal where you digitally
express thoughts, ideas, opinions and practically anything that
you want people to read. This medium can provide a perfect place
to promote your home based business. Blogs can be created in
different styles, formats, and settings depending on the
preferences of the user. Many blogging websites offer built in
features such as hyperlinks, straight texts, pictures etc. Some
even allow you to put video and MP3's on your blogs.

A basic blog contains these features:

Title: this is where you label your post
Body: this is the content of your post
Trackback: other sites can be linked back to your blog
Permanent link: every article that you write has your own URLs
Comments: this allows readers to post comments about your blog.

Blogging is a very simple process to set-up because you do not
design web pages. This makes blogging beneficial for the
inexperienced internet user because it is easy to start. Using
onsite templates, an individual can create new pages for titles,
body posts, category choices and an author resource box.
Consider how easy it would be to promote your home business. You
can share thoughts, insights, and observations while promoting a
product or service.

To start a blog you must become a member of a blogging site or
set up a blog on your own website. Again, check with your host
provider for the steps that are necessary to create a blog on
your site. If you have not developed an online presence, do an
internet search for "blog" and you will be given thousands of
options. Make sure to analyze the website that you are
considering and understand how they operate. In addition, it is
important that you are allowed to add a author's resource box at
the end of your postings.

Blogs vary in topics, themes and set-ups. Browse through the
directories of the blog websites to get an idea of what they
offer. This research will give you an insight into what blogging
communities are about.

After becoming a member, you are now a part of that particular
blogging community with all of the resources to help you get
started. When creating a blog, make sure to understand how you
add an author's resource box at the end of your postings. This
is the place where you will promote your home business through
company information and URLs to your website. The help sections
of the site will explain how to set it up.

Blogging is not just limited to sharing personal information.
There are many blogs that follow topics about sports, politics,
philosophy, social commentary, home businesses and just about
every subject that you can think of. Focused blogs espouse on
their specific themes. This way blogging becomes a medium in
which people can share their knowledge and opinions about a
variety of topics. Think about giving readers good information
while promoting your home based business.

Blogging provides an opportunity to promote your company. Some
individuals advertise their products directly through their
blogs. Other bloggers share their insights about current issues,
events, news and catastrophes while indirectly promoting their
internet venture. Whatever approach you choose, focus on
presenting your home business in such a way that readers will
benefit from your insights and want to learn more about your
product or service.

Many internet entrepreneurs benefit from blogging by promoting
their home businesses online. Millions of people are logging
onto the net everyday and blogging has provided a new avenue of
advertising for these work at home individuals. Blogging is an
inexpensive marketing technique for use on the internet that can
help bring the success you are searching for.

If you have a home business or are thinking about creating one,
blogging is a marketing technique to consider for promoting your
product. In most cases, it is free to put a blog on your site or
to join a blogging community on the internet. Not only will you
enjoy expressing and sharing your insights, you will receive the
benefit of making millions of net users aware of your company.
Blogging is for everyone. It is fun, simple, easy and
profitable.

"Opportunities multiply as they are seized; they die when
neglected. Life is a long line of opportunities."

================== ARTICLE START ==================
The UK has the most active online population of any country in
Europe with around 21 million logging on every day and 72% using
the Internet to make purchases.

According to the Office of National Statistics between
2005-2006 consumers spent £103 billion in online purchases in
the UK alone

But a recent survey has shown that for UK SMEs:

o 23% of websites have not been updated launch
o The average age of a website is four years
o Only 8% of respondents had an e-commerce element to their
sites
o 25% of companies had no way of tracking their site
o 38% had no budget at all for website updates
o For those with a budget the annual spend was around £250

So, if you have built a web site and you find that your site
hasn't been generating much relevant traffic and no significant
sales the temptation may be to start "the blame game" but that
isn't going to help. You see building a web site is one thing;
building one that will bring in business is another.

Far too often building a website is seen as a design or
technical issue and confusion is the norm with no one being
really clear why it's there, who it is aimed at or what it is
supposed to do.

Too frequently `getting the website up' is the main objective
and the site reflects the organisation and its departments. But
users don't care about `producers', they just want a site that
is easy for them to understand and use.

Here are some thoughts you can use to make sure your website is
effective and working for you.

1. Have you researched websites in your industry and looked at
your competitors and what kind of websites they have? Did you
find out whose is `doing the biz'? In many businesses you really
can find out how well they are doing from that grapevine and
that will help you to start to see what works for your industry
and what does not. It's gritty, it's boring, it needs someone
who understands your business – that's not likely to be
designers and developers, but engineers, sales people and
marketers. They are the ones that will notice the `little
things' that can make it come together.

2. Can your site be found? Why did you build it unless you
promote it? If it can't be found it won't bring business. Q E D.
Prepare a website marketing plan. "Pretend" (at the very least
pretend and preferably understand) that your site is (or may be)
your most important product or service. How would you market
that? How much would you spend on it? It is critical that your
website is search engine friendly and registered with key
directories; after that there are many things you can do – pay
per click, banner ads, email, viral campaigns, social
bookmarking, social networking and more.

3. Target, target, target. Who are your target audience? What
will motivate them? Most visitors want information. Let's say
that again. Most visitors want information. It is information
about products, services and prices that helps them to make a
decision. And that is what you want – a decision.

4. Does your website provide easy navigation? Preferably one
click from anywhere to anywhere on the site with no more than 7
top level links – more tends to confuse people, but it's a
guideline not a rule! Talk with people from target audience
about how they want site structured and what will make them buy
– yes it is obvious but many don't do it.

5. Does your website have the right content? This is critical.
Not only for customers but also for Search Engine Optimization
(SEO) to drive higher rankings

in organic listings in the search engines which is how over 80%
of sites are reached – even, frequently, if they are book marked
because people love Googling. So…… make sure your site has
relevant and useful content that helps your particular audience
achieve their particular objectives on your website.

6. Is the users' experience pleasant and convenient? Does the
site keep their details and preferences? If you want customers
to visit your website frequently and make regular purchases, you
must securely store their personal details so don't have to
fill-out the same details every time they make a transaction or
contribution. Also, get their consent for future marketing.

7. Do users leave happy? Are there appropriate cues and auto
e-mails to inform customers of what happens next? You'll soon
know. How? When you get unnecessary emails and phone calls from
customers and have to spend more time dealing with them
off-line.

8. Trust. Make sure users can contact your company? Why should
I trust you unless you provide sufficient details for users to
be able to get in touch with you? Provide your company details
including phone numbers and address. Does you site provide
information about policies and terms and conditions to instil
further trust and confidence? Customers want to know. Hiding
things makes them suspicious if not downright angry.

9. Who writes the copy? Believe it or not good copywriters are
worth their weight in gold and know how to structure information
so the most important message is conveyed clearly. It is very
easy to skimp. It is frequently a false economy.

10. Does your website have the right look? First impressions
are important. Don't be flashy and make sure you target audience
have the sure feeling they have come to the right place.

11. The site has to be hosted. It is far to frequently the case
that one is waiting around for a site to load – even with
broadband. Having a first class hosting company is essential. If
the site doesn't come up in milliseconds then people lose
interest and go elsewhere.

12. Can your website be viewed? Sound simple but while your
website may appear fine on one browser that doesn't necessarily
mean that it will display the same way on other browsers. It
certainly has to work in Microsoft's internet Explorer and in
Firefox – the two account for over 95% of browsers but that does
not mean you can ignore the others.

13. Tracking. Measure success or failure. Anywhere other than
your website that you don't do that?? The conversion rates from
the traffic on your website show the effectiveness of your site
marketing and show you where you need to improve. Your web stats
provide information about visitors and referrers, most popular
pages, where they come from, how long they spend on your site,
where they go from your site, etc. This information is
absolutely essential particularly if you rely on your site for a
significant part of your business.

14. Maintenance and updates. Do you keep updating your site
with new content? Are the products in stock? How would you feel
about a supermarket where everything is beyond its sell by date?
Would you use it? Yet there are plenty of sites that are
expected to perform without maintenance – bizarre!

5 Easy Ways to Revamp Your Brand
There are two ways to respond to a downshift in the
economy. You can sink, or you can start thinking
creatively. Many of the major corporate players are
revamping their brands to stand out in an even more hotly
competitive marketplace, and so can you.

The media recently reported the decision by Victoria's
Secret to revamp its brand by toning down products that
leave too little to the imagination and start embracing a
wider (read: more mature) market. With sales down,
Victoria's Secret executives announced plans to revamp its
brand to make it still sexy, but a little less flamboyant,
apparently hoping to attract older shoppers back into the
stores.

Cell phone companies, too, are searching for new ways to
revamp their brands. LG Electronics, the maker of the
Voyager and Chocolate phones, this year started holding
focus group meetings to dig deeper into what customers
really want that will allow the company to stand out among
so many choices. "We constantly have to be reminding
ourselves that we tend to be geek types, and our customers
are not," Ehtisham Rabbani, an LG vice president for
product strategy and marketing, told the New York Times.
"Our job is to be behaviorists and psychologists."

The Wall Street Journal reports that T-Mobile is
introducing test models of a new system that will allow
cell phones to connect with home landline phones. The
service, "Talk Forever Home Phone," is being introduced
first in Seattle and Dallas. It will allow the use of a
cell phone account in combination with any corded or
cordless home phone with multiple extensions for only $10 a
month after a one-time $50 router charge, the newspaper
reported. In this case, the goal was to be different and
also affordable.

Is it time to revamp your brand?

5 Easy Ways to Revamp Your Brand

1. Engage your own focus group. Gather a group of your best
customers and also new customers (and don't forget
co-workers, employees and mentors) to meet for at least one
hour to discuss whether it's time to revamp your brand, and
how this can be accomplished at little or no additional
cost. You might be surprised that a simple change in
wording or packaging or marketing is the answer. The goal
is to adapt ideas from these how-to guides to holding focus
groups to fit your budget and preferred group size.

2. Refine your focus group results. Once you have received
a set of suggestions, realistically study them to determine
what will best suit revamping your brand without major
changes or expenses. In a tough economy, zero in on what
will save customers or clients money (or be the best
value), and what can bring you new customers.

3. Zero in on extras. Revamp your brand to embrace "extras"
that will bring more old and new customers to your door.
Can you repackage your services to add a "bonus" or "free"
service such as a newsletter, calendar, or a 10-minute
mini-consultation?

4. Think compatibility. T-Mobile decided to revamp its
brand by experimenting with how to become more compatible
with traditional landline telephone service. Can you revamp
your brand by making it more compatible with another
product or service? If consumers are feeling rushed, can
you make your service more compatible by reducing the time
frame of your service? If consumers are less inclined to
drive long distances, can you make your services or
products more compatible to online availability?

5. Rethink your customer base. How can you revamp your
brand to appeal to customers outside your niche demographic
to make up for less business by existing customers?
Sometimes it can be a matter of just rephrasing your
marketing to appeal to a wider customer base, versus
introducing new gadgets or product lines.

If your brand needs to be revamped, any one of all of these
five tips should bring more customers to your door.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
All sorts of people shop online for all kinds of reasons.

First, there is the convenience of being able to shop 24 hours
a day for any type of product imaginable. The ability to shop
from home allows many people who have trouble getting to real
world shops such as elderly or disabled people or others with
transport or mobility issues to still purchase the products and
services they need. Many people also have trouble attending
shops during their opening hours, such as those that work the
same hours as shop opening times, mothers with young children
and no one to mind them.

There are several advantages to shopping online, the first one
being the ability to shop at a time that is convenient to you,
not just when the shops are open. The second advantage of
shopping online is that goods are often cheaper as the seller
does not have the costs of running a shop and having to pay
wages to salespeople, insurance and all of the other running
costs of a real world business. Online shopping can also be a
lot more comfortable than real world shopping, you do not have
to deal with the weather – you won't get rained on for instance
shopping online.

A huge advantage of shopping online is that you have the
opportunity to compare as many products and prices as you want
without having to spend the time and money to travel between
several different shops. You will also be able to read reviews
that have been written by other people who have purchased the
item you are considering; you will be able to find out about the
item from a genuine user not just the salesperson. Finally you
will be able to find and buy products all over the world not
just in your local area – this makes purchasing hard to find
items a lot easier.

The main disadvantage of shopping online is that you have to
pay shipping costs and have to wait for the items you purchased
to be shipped and delivered. (This could take several weeks if
you have purchased a product from overseas, and the costs of
shipping may outweigh any savings you made on the purchase
price.) You will not be able to purchase an item you need to use
immediately online.

Another disadvantage is that you have to buy the item relying
purely on a photograph and description, you cannot feel or see
the item you want to buy. It can sometimes be quite hard to
judge the size or quality of some items purely from a
photograph. The final disadvantage of shopping online is that it
is much harder and takes longer to return faulty goods; you will
have to repack it and pay to ship it back to the seller. It can
literally take weeks to exchange a faulty product purchased
online.

In summary, the main advantages of shopping online are
convenience and cost savings, while the main disadvantage is
that the item is not immediately available, and you cannot
inspect it personally before you make your purchase.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
A large number of companies are willing to spend tens of
thousands of dollars to get the opinions of real customers
because, in the long run, this saves them a lot of money. You'd
be amazed by the number of people who use paid surveys to
generate an extra income. Maybe that's the reason why you're
reading this article. You want to make money from home.

You usually don't need to do anything really special to start
earning extra cash. All you have to do is to join one or more
paid surveys programs. Of course, the first step is to find a
program and this is relatively easy since we've carefully chosen
for you the ones that offer the best opportunities. Once you
found a program that you like, the first thing will be to
complete a brief questionnaire – what is your age, gender,
education, job, etc. that will take you only a couple of minutes
of your time. The best thing is that you will receive your first
survey offer within a couple of days. After completing the
survey, you will receive the money either via your PayPal
account, by cheque or a bank transfer. If you don't have a
PayPal account, don't worry. It is free to get one and very easy
to set up.

One piece of advice before we continue: be realistic about the
amount of money you can earn by completing paid surveys. Not all
surveys are created equal, if some offer over $250, lots of them
will offer an income ranging about $3. Consequently, it is
preferable to choose and participate only in the highest paid
survey offers. Although they are usually more complicated and
time-consuming to complete, money is well worth it.

Finding the Highest Paid Survey Opportunities: Tip #1

There's no doubt that focus groups are one of the highest paid
survey types. A group of people with similar background meet and
is asked to answer questions about a specific topic. How it
works: usually, focus groups are held in real time via a
conference phone conversation or an online discussion group.
Because of the time involved, focus groups are one of the top
paid surveys you can find. If they are more complicated, the
revenue is also considerably bigger than the one offered for the
most common surveys. If you have the choice, I'm pretty sure
you'll prefer to spend one hour to get $250 that completing five
10-minute surveys for $10 each, right?

Finding the Highest Paid Survey Opportunities: Tip #2

Usually, you will find that you can earn more by answering
phone surveys than completing online or paper surveys. Some
companies will pay you up to $150 to answer a simple phone
survey.

Finding the Highest Paid Survey Opportunities: Tip #3

Among the highest paid survey offers you can find is testing a
new service or product. This type of survey can easily bring you
an extra $50 - $75 in your pocket.

Finding the Highest Paid Survey Opportunities: Tip #4

It is highly recommended that you register with as many survey
companies as possible if you want to maximize your chances of
participating more often in the highest paid survey programs.
Since you usually receive the offers from the companies by
email, it goes without saying that the number of programs you
register with increases your chances of getting the highest paid
survey offers. If you found good opportunities out there, please
take a minute to post it on our website to let other people know
about it.

Finding the Highest Paid Survey Opportunities: Tip #5

Although you want to find the survey companies that offer good
money for answering their surveys, you also have to be very
careful because they sometimes offer high rates just to hook
people hunting for the highest paid survey. Make sure that you
are dealing with a company that is credible and has a good
reputation so you don't end up disappointed.

well participate in the highest paid survey opportunities.

Article Title: Getting Targeted Traffic To Your Site – For Free

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Every online entrepreneur knows that targeted traffic is a
crucial part of his website's success, but not everyone knows
that they can get targeted traffic for free. And this knowledge
is especially valuable if the website is not yet generating
enough income to justify spending money on advertising.

So how do you get targeted traffic on your site for free? There
are 6 effective techniques that you can use to do so, and these
involve article directories, exchanging links, and participating
in forums that specialize in topics related to your website's
niche. If you know how to use these methods effectively, you
will be sure to generate lots of targeted traffic, all for free.

First, try working with article directories. Write articles
that are relevant or related to your site, and then submit them
to online article directories. Make sure that these articles
contain useful information, not just a blatant advertising
piece. Article directories always allow you to include
information about yourself and your website, so people can see
it and be encouraged to visit your website to see what you're
all about. While you're at it, why not try offering a freebie,
such as an e-book, to get visitors to your site? All of these
can be placed in the resource boxes that are conveniently
provided by the article directories.

The second technique involves writing articles or reports about
certain topics that you're particularly interested in. These
articles should then be sent out to several websites that have
content related to your articles' topics. For example, if you've
written articles about cooking, you should send them out to
websites about cooking, recipes, or perhaps home-related topics.
Of course, sending out articles about pets to websites that
feature content about ballet equipment is out of the question!
Offer links to your site with every report or article you send
out. Giving free content to others using this method will help a
lot in promoting your website, and you can also give out
permission for anyone else to freely distribute the articles, in
order to increase the chances of getting even more free targeted
traffic.

Have you ever tried joining a link exchange program? This is
the third technique I want to show you. Link exchange programs
are great sources of free targeted traffic. Look for members
that have websites with similar interests or topics like yours,
since they will be the best link partners you can have on the
program. This will make your site more relevant and attractive
to search engines because you're linked to other sites that
share the same topics or interests as you do.

The fourth technique involves forums. There are hundreds of
online communities or forums that are related to your website's
niche. Join them and participate actively in the discussions. If
you're going to start a thread, make sure that it's interesting
and relevant to the overall subject or topic of the forum. Post
interesting comments in the online discussions and the other
members of the forum will be more than happy to read what you
have to say. You can use your signature to post a link to your
site. All of these will benefit your website in the form of free
exposure and free targeted traffic from forum members.

The fifth technique I'm going to show you is using social
bookmarking sites. Some of the most popular ones include
Squidoo, http://del-icio.us, Digg, and StumbleUpon, to name a
few. Register with them and submit your website's information.
Your website will then be listed in their directories, which
gives your site additional exposure and more free targeted
traffic.

The last technique for getting free targeted traffic will be
effective if you have a blog on your site. If you do have one,
send your blog's URL to several RSS (Really Simple Syndication)
sites. Every time you post new content on your blog, your RSS
data will also be updated, making your website more appealing to
search engines that specialize in blogs. People like blogs with
good content and are updated frequently, so keep that in mind as
well. If you can establish your blog as a good source of
quality, interesting, and up-to-date information, more and more
people will visit you regularly, thereby providing yet another
free source of targeted traffic.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Pay per Click, PPC search engine advertising is considered by
many to be one of the most affordable forms of marketing on the
Internet. PPC advertising is used to generate leads by directing
target traffic to a marketer's website landing page, so the
marketer can convert this target traffic into immediate sales;
or future sales at a later time. To date, this marketing is a
billion pound industry.

There are some pitfalls and disadvantages to using Pay per
Click advertising companies. If there were no disadvantages to
this advertising, then everyone would be using this method; yet,
many Internet marketers do not use it.

In brief, marketers will bid on keywords to use in small ads
they create, that the PPC Company will display for search engine
users when they use the marketers' chosen keywords they selected
to use in the ads. Within these ads is a link to the marketers'
unique website, for interested parties to click on.

When the search engine user, uses a particular marketer's
keyword in the search engine, that ad shows up alongside the
other results for the user to choose from. If the user clicks on
the marketer's ad, they are taken to the marketer's website. The
marketer then pays the PPC Company for that unique click. If the
user sees the ad, but does not click, the marketer does not pay.

Some of the disadvantages to using Pay per Click advertising
have to do with the company being chosen for the marketing
campaign. Many companies have much bigger advantages over other
smaller companies.

A smaller PPC company might not be "connected", in the sense of
having the ability to display your ad for good exposure when
your keywords are being targeted by people looking for your type
product. Also, some PPC companies simply do not have the skills
to operate their companies as well as a lot of the larger ones.
To date, Google's AdWords is the top runner of PPC companies on
the Internet.

Many people have lost thousands of pounds on PPC advertising by
simply not having a clear understanding of the complexity
involved. It takes a while to learn how to bid properly, create
compelling ads that are relevant and using these methods
effectively in a marketing campaign. Prudence is the key when
new to any marketing method.

One main disadvantage to using this advertising has a lot to do
with your market. If you are not trying to appeal to a niche
group, this could have you in direct competition with a few
hundred other marketers for select keywords.

Nothing is more frustrating than trying to bid for keywords,
that many other PPC marketers already have top positions for
themselves. At best, you may end up at the bottom of the page's
search results; unless you want to spend a lot more money,
trying to out-bid your competition.

Although you can generate a lot of target traffic to your
landing page, recent studies have shown that the conversion rate
of PPC marketing techniques, to be lower than other marketing
methods, like article marketing.

If you get 100 hits on your landing page from PPC advertising,
but only one sale, then that says something. Especially if you
were using article marketing before, and this method was
converting 8 hits into sales, per 100 hits for you.

Overall, the main disadvantage to PPC advertising is taking the
time to learn all the complexities involved with it. Too many
people have jumped right into it with their eyes closed and
ended up wiping out their marketing budgets in short time. They
tried, they died.

PPC advertising is something everyone should test the water on,
before jumping in, head first.

Expired Domain Secret
http://www.expireddomainsecret.com

Just before a particular expired web domain expires and becomes
available for open sale, it will undergo several passages of
legal procedures. Here is a brief flowchart of the presumed life
cycle through which a typical expired web domain traverses its
eventful passage: abo An active web domain may become redundant,
when the buyer of that domain somehow misses renewing the domain
name for another term. An expired web domain is an open
marketable commodity that is available and open for all internet
surfers. Just before a web domain expires, the concerned
authorities will place the said domain under a series of legal
procedures. As an expired web domain entrepreneur, you may need
to know these simple legal procedures.

Holding period: This is the first of the series of legal
procedures through which a said expired web domain traverses
through. Holding period is a specific stage that lies within the
registrar\'s exclusive control and hold.

Redemption Period: This is a grace period, when the registrar
forwards a special favor by paying the renewal fees for the
expired web domain in question. This facility is available for
the first 45 days, soon after the non-receipt of renewal fees.
The registrar will pay the fees in the real hope that the owner
of the domain will pay the renewal charges.

The 2nd Stage of Redemption: Once the said expired web domain
passes its 45 days of grace period, the registrar will soon
announcement the non-payment of renewal fees. In essence, this is
the end of the waiting period and the owner may soon loose the
control over the expired web domain.

The Stage of Expiry: The final stages of expiry and deletion of
an expired web domain lasts to about a month and at this stage
the said domain comes back the registrar due to the non-payment
of renewal fees.

The Stage of Deletion: This marks the end of the process and the
web domain soon turns an expired web domain. This is the most
critical stage, when the said expired web domain reverts back to
the open market, when anyone can pay the fees and buy it.

Here are some more additional details about expired web domain
registration and deletion:

* You can register a web domain for a period of one to ten years
* If you do not pay renewal fees on time, you will get a series
of e mail notices about the nonpayment, with an additional
instruction to pay the fees. * When you pay up the fees on time,
you will never need to worry about your domain becoming an
expired web domain.

Learning more on how a domain turns into an expired web domain is
very critical and important. Additional information and details
on this unique topic will help you enrich your skills and
knowledge of acquiring expired web domains in an effective
manner.

Why Customer Service Can Make The Difference In Network Marketing
There are several different areas that make up a quality
network marketing campaign. There is the marketing, the
product itself, and lastly customer service. What is sad
is that a lot of people forget about customer service
because they are so focused on everything else around them.
What they are missing out on is that customer service is
one of the most vital pieces to success in network
marketing.

You have a lot of control over your business and how it is
developed, but you cannot force a customer to buy a
product. What you can do, though, is influence them
through quality customer service. People like to know that
they matter and feel like a diamond in the rough when you
take the time to acknowledge them. And really, it is not
that difficult to do. So why do more people not do it?

The simple answer is that there are "more important" areas
to focus on then the people who will be making the
purchase. You can put all the time and effort you can into
building up a respectable website with astounding content,
which you should try to accomplish. But just keep in mind
that this immaculate website you are creating is nothing
without the customer.

It is the customer that will decide in the end whether or
not your service and product is worthy of purchasing. If
you are there to assist the customer and make them feel
appreciated, they will be much more apt to trust you and
purchase the product.

In a business that is separated by long distances online,
building relationships is a must. You want to develop a
close relationship with as many customers as possible to
show that you care. As soon as they make a purchase or
send you an email with a question, you want to give them
the time of day they deserve. Respond as quickly as
possible with an email or telephone call if you really want
to.

One of the most difficult things to do when building a
relationship in network marketing is looking past the fact
that it is still a business proposition. Certainly you are
becoming acquainted because of business on the internet.
But there is much more to it than that. If you truly want
to connect with your customers and make an effort, drop
them a personal email showing them they matter. This will
also make them feel more like an equal than just a customer.

There is so much competition in network marketing and the
industry continues to grow. Despite the power customer
service has on people, businesses tend to overlook it. But
giving each of your customers the time of day deserved can
separate you from the rest of the network marketing pack.

The Importance Of Writing Network Marketing Goals

The Importance Of Writing Network Marketing Goals
There are a number of facets that can set you up for
success with network marketing, but writing out goals is
critical. Writing out network marketing goals is a
powerful tool because of the impact it can have on you to
strive for bigger and better things. Believe it or not,
there is a difference between having goals and writing them
out. As soon as you realize this, you will be on your way
to success.

When you write out network marketing goals, you will be
more inclined to work harder to achieve them. Having them
in ink on a piece of paper allows you to look at them every
day. If you just have them stored in your head, it can be
easy to put them in the back of your mind.

Prior to writing out your goals, you want to identify your
reasoning behind having an MLM career. Obviously you
probably need a job and income to pay the bills. But it is
rewarding having an MLM career and there is probably much
more to it than just you needing money.

As soon as you identify this, you can jump into your actual
goals for the job. Begin with what kinds of expectations
and objectives you have for your income. You want to set a
reasonable goal that is achievable, but challenge yourself
to work for something at the same time. Setting the bar
too low will not push you to work harder.

In order to achieve this income, set a goal or a schedule
for how many hours you want to work a week. You may want
to consider taking on longer hours for the first couple of
months while you build up the business. Just know that the
more hours you work the better chance you have of
developing a promising business that tops your competitors.

Perhaps the most important aspect to setting network
marketing goals is being specific. You want to set every
goal down to the day you want to achieve it. Plan out what
you will do to achieve these goals. And do not be afraid
to reward yourself for each goal that you achieve.

When you plot out your goals, you have to realize that they
are not set in stone. They will change over time as your
business grows and develops, but they are building blocks
to get your business where you want it to be. Writing out
network marketing goals can be one of the most powerful
methods of motivating you to work harder and strive for the
income you desire.
