Starting a Web Hosting Company with Master Reseller Hosting
The idea of starting a web hosting company has at least
touched most internet entrepreneurs. This business type
offers potentially high residual margins with most of the
business being fully automated. More than 20,000 domains
are registered each day with millions already online. Each
website on the internet needs web hosting and the growth of
this industry is endless and not slowing.

Starting a web hosting company is similar to beginning any
business. A smart entrepreneur will research and devise a
business plan and budget. This makes sure you have goals
to reach and will be able to afford it. Skipping this step
in business development has been proven to be one of the
number one reasons most small businesses fail.

When researching your expenses you will be compelled to
know that there is a service designed exactly for your web
hosting needs. This service is called master reseller
hosting. This amazing service will allow you to resell web
hosting accounts as well as resell WHM reseller accounts.
Basically, you can support someone setting up a regular
website or you can support someone interested in starting a
web hosting company like yourself. Even better news is the
fact that this can be done at a very reasonable monthly
rate because the servers are generally shared with other
resellers. A managed dedicated server able to support your
needs will run anywhere from $150 - $400 per month. Master
reseller hosting accounts can be purchased at a small
fraction of this.

The hardest people to satisfy are the ones that you provide
a service to. Generally, web hosting cliental are smarter
than the average citizen which makes them far easier to
manage but problems are bound to still arise. The best way
to keep your clients happy is simple to an extent with an
online business. Here are some general guidelines to
follow: - Respond to all communications at acceptable time
periods.

- Treat new and existing customers with professionalism and
respect.

- Ensure the greatest quality possible in all aspects of
business.

Once your website is online and you are ready to start
doing business you will want to look into marketing your
site. When it comes to internet marketing it is important
to be a smart shopper. There are many websites that sell
useless traffic and other sites that make promises they
can't keep nor even intend to. Be smart with your budget
and understand that a business will take time to build.

Hidden Profits
Do You Want To Know Where The Hidden Profits Are In Your
Business?

You really do have hidden profits in your business and all
of us are trying to find out where. To get you headed in
the right direction I want to relay a story to you that I
found very interesting and deals directly to this point. It
deals with your observations of your surroundings.

Are Keeping Informed About Your Industry?

I subscribe to dozens of publications, newsletters and
ezines to find that edge that many businesses are missing
today; especially in your business in 2008. I was reading
an article by Travis Miller and Jimmy Vee and I want to
share some of their article with you. It began like this:

How Do Others See You?

More than 300 years ago a young mathematician was resting
under an apple tree when he got "beaned" on the head by a
falling apple. It is this instance that is believed to give
Sir Isaac Newton an inspiration to formulate his theory of
Universal Gravitation.

But that story is an exaggeration cartoon of the actual
facts. The true story, as presented by John Conduitt,
Newton's assistant, portrays a far less amazing and
dramatic event. The truth is believed to be more like...

"While Newton was pensively meandering in a garden his
thoughts about the power of gravity (which brought an apple
from the tree to the ground) were not limited only to
bringing an object to the ground. The effects, Newton
realized, extended much further than usually thought."

Therefore, the inspiration every one believes to be the
catalyst of Newton's success was not a freak accident or an
unduplicatable process. It was really just a small
observance in a totally unrelated field.

Are You Asking The Right Questions?

Newton's success was dependent upon his ability to see
things that were going on around him and apply them to his
field of study. His success didn't come from a single or
turnkey action but by his ability to observe and ask better
questions.

Now, before you can ask better questions you must see
things differently. Have you observed any changes in the
way people are responding to your ads or what questions
your customers are asking when they come into your
business? What concerns have your customers brought to your
staff and are you able to address those concerns
satisfactorily?

How Often Do You Hear Yourself Saying, "I'm not doing as
good as I would like to, but I know things will change
soon."

If you're like most business owners, you're sitting under a
tree waiting for an apple that may never fall. You're a
professional, you believe that attracting new customers,
convincing them to buy and getting them to eagerly refer
others is something that comes easily because you've been
in this business for some time. You believe that because
when you opened your doors, got the word out about
providing excellent service and quality products your
customers would keep coming.

The most frustrating part is when you see someone else,
maybe a competitor, someone with less experience or less
skill, just open their doors and unexplainably, Ignite
Their Business To The Next Level during a time when a
recession is looming, higher gas prices and a shrinking
dollar value.

Why Do Other People Get What You Deserve?

Does the other guy know something you don't?

The truth is, the more you get rooted and educated by the
common thinking of your industry herd the less chance you
have of ever succeeding.

Attracting new customers and clients is actually an easy
duplicatable and scientific process. In fact, with a little
observing and the right tools you can have high quality
prospects coming to you instead of you busting your butt
and wasting your money trying to find them.

The Hidden Profits Buried In Your Business...

Just like Newton and Gravity there is a hidden wealth of
profits, breakthroughs in marketing and cash buried in your
business that you are missing out on. Partly because you
don't see them and you are possibly too close to your
industry and to your business. You have a lot of yourself
invested and you don't have the tools to see things
objectively and ask the right questions.

Learn how you can get the tools that could help you ask
better questions, create a process that can be done over
and over and produce quality customers that look for you
and happily pay for what you are selling.

2 Crucial And 1 Major Tip To Balanced Self Employment
A man of substance needed his prized stallion groomed. He
hired a man who lived around horse stables all his life.
This man groomed the horse daily for hours. Problem was he
stole a bit of the horse's hay everyday and sold it.

One day, feeling hungry, wasted and looking unhealthy the
horse had taken enough. He neighed loudly to the grooming
thief, "hey look, groom me less and feed me more everyday."

In this story, the horse is only asking for balance. You
must seek a healthy balance when tackling the ups and downs
associated with owning you own business. Self employment
definitely brings self fulfillment and personal
satisfaction. But headaches are also bound up in that
package. Below are a few quick self employment positives.

1. Financial independence.

2. No bosses. (Always a great positive)

3. No wage limits.

4. The freedom to be innovative.

This article contains three practical strategies for
maintaining this needed balance if success is to be
realized.

Moonlighting (Crucial)

Everyone knows what moonlighting is, but just in case I'm
wrong, moonlighting is simply taking on a second job. It's
usually a night job hence the term moonlighting. Economic
pressure is what forces most people to moonlight. When
starting your own business, initially it may not be
possible to pay yourself a wage. But turning yourself into
a workaholic to secure that elusive wage will hamper your
health in the long run. When you are in a position to
resign from your regular job, do so with dignity and
appreciation for your former employer. Never burn bridges!

Patience Needed (Crucial)

Initially you may be required to make difficult sacrifices
to gain momentum. Be patient. Things will come together
with time. Rome wasn't built in a day. You may even
experience abysmal returns. Returns that bring much
discouragement; but hold on, be patient. You may have to
go into the barn and dig into the hay you have stored away.
Don't be afraid to use your savings. It won't always be
doom and gloom. Setbacks are setups for a comeback. Repeat
that to yourself over and over. Maintain a mindset of
success and you will succeed.

The Canaries In The Coalmine (Major)

Believe me when I tell you, you need your wife! She's like
the canary in the coalmine; the first to spot the signs of
danger. Pay attention to her when she tells you that you
need to strike a balance between work and home. Owning
your own business doesn't give you the right to immerse
yourself into your business to the detriment of your
family. Quite the contrary; your family should still come
first. Maintain your passion for your business while at the
same time satisfying the needs of your family.

Entrepreneurs of today must employ up to date management
techniques in order to position their business for success.
They must be prudent when breaking away from former
employers, remain patient in the face of difficult
challenges and be able to strike a reasonable balance
between work and home life.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
The other day I had an interesting conversation. It is really a
similar conversation that I have with most people when they find
out I have online businesses. Most people want to start
something or think they have a good idea for a product online.
As the conversation goes on it usually is exhausting to find out
after some time of teaching that most people have no idea where
to start because they lack the basic research skills. I think if
you were to break down the process of developing an idea into a
business thinks would be much easier and you would be able to
sort out the good ideas from the not so good ideas. So here is
how I do it, I break the thought pattern down into phases.

Idea phase

I take an idea that I think is interesting and first figure out
how I can take it from the idea stage to a "beginning" online
presence. This involves figuring out where to either purchase
the product or manufacture the product. I make no attempt to
being any sort of operation. I then get out the pen and paper
and make a beginners budget that shows me if the product has
some profit margin potential. If the basic math shows at least a
20 to 25% profit margin I move on to phase two. A sample budget
includes these items:

Initial stock for a test run
Website domain setup
Website optimization plan (basic)
Sample marketing plan

Sample set up Phase

If the numbers look decent, I then go to the test phase where
we set up the site and set up the product. If I am sourcing the
product I am not super concerned with the details of getting an
amazing price. This is a detail. I am looking to build a sample
SYSTEM, which is key. Tweaking the system is not until the next
phase. At this point I can easily abandon the idea if the system
is not developed properly or insufficient from a time point of
view. After the system is set up we move to the next phase.

Marketing Phase

We next try to attain a small piece of the pie, or if no market
is defined, create a small demand for testing purposes. This is
where some sort of gimmick novelty is used. All Marketing ideas
including Ebay are explored. In this phase I also keep in mind
that there needs to be a good potential for tweaking the system
which involves getting better prices and suppliers.

Thus the man that has practised control over himself cannot be
acted upon by anything outside; there is no more slavery for
him. His mind has become free. Such a man alone is fit to live
well in the world. We generally find men holding two opinions
regarding the world. Some are pessimists and say, "How horrible
this world is, how wicked!" Some others are optimists and say,
"How beautiful this world is, how wonderful!" To those who have
not controlled their own minds, the world is either full of evil
or at best a mixture of good and evil. This very world will
become to us an optimistic world when we become masters of our
own minds. Nothing will then work upon us as good or evil; we
shall find everything to be in its proper place, to be
harmonious.

Some men, who begin by saying that the world is a hell, often
end by saying that it is a heaven when they succeed in the
practice of self - control. If we are genuine Karma-Yogis and
wish to train ourselves to that attainment of this state,
wherever we may begin we are sure to end in perfect self -
abnegation; and as soon as this seeming self has gone, the whole
world, which at first appears to us to be filled with evil, will
appear to be heaven itself and full of blessedness. Its very
atmosphere will be blessed; every human face there will be god.
Such is the end and aim of Karma - yoga, and such is its
perfection in practical life.

Our various Yogas do not conflict with each other; each of them
leads us to the same goal and makes us perfect. Only each has to
be strenuously practised. The whole secret is in practising.
First you have to hear, then think, and then practise. This is
true of every Yoga.

Painting Business - 5 Ways To Determine How Much a Single Customer is Worth
If you are in the residential service industry (i.e.
painting business, carpet cleaning, lawn care, etc.) how do
you calculate just how much money a single customer is
worth? It's simple once you take the following facts into
consideration:

1.) For one thing local service customers represent
immediate income. Depending on your type of business,
whether it's carpet cleaning, painting, window washing,
etc. your customers are a way to make instant needed cash.
You need to put food on your table and pay bills paid just
like everyone else and there is nothing like immediate
income to do it.

2.) Add-ons - one thing nice that adds to your immediate
income is when customers add on extra work during a job.
For example: If you are a house painter and you are
painting their kitchen, they may ask you to paint the
half-bath down the hall. This adds a nice chunk of cash to
your immediate profits.

3.) Customers are a testimony of your good work. Sometimes
a potential customer will ask you for references. Having
plenty of previous satisfied customers on hand to use as a
reference works well. I have had potential customers say
things like "I thought they were your mom and dad the way
they went on and on. They had so many nice things to say
about you!". Wow! Is that a reference or what?!

4.) Your customers can give you lots of great referrals!
Without intending to brag, I have made thousands of dollars
off of single customers many times over the years. This
happens simply from them referring me to their inner circle
of family and friends. Not every customers will do this but
with the ones that do, I can trace 2nd, third, and even as
deep as 6 and 7 generations or levels of new business all
pointing back to one single customer referring me to their
friends and family for painting.

5.) And the fifth way to calculate a customer's worth is
they may call you back many times to service them again.
Many times I start out doing a job for a customer and then
they call me back for a series of other jobs. I have even
had customers give me inside work to do at my discretion to
fill in for rain days painting somewhere else! (How did
they know?)

This is the proper way to know how much money a single
customer is worth to you. Take all that into consideration
and I guess each customer can be worth thousands and
thousands of dollars to you over the years in your own
local service business!

I know this from experience... I'm thinking about just one
customer in particular right now that over a 10 year span
of painting for them, they have had me back quite a few
times. This same customer has also given me some excellent
referrals. I can trace new business 5 and 6 levels deep and
probably deeper from just this one painting customer alone.

That's the exciting thing about owning your own local
business. You get to meet a lot of fine interesting people.
These are really nice people that have the money to hire
you with. And they have lots of friends who have lots of
money to hire you with too! (I call that job security.)

The bottom line is this, if you treat each customer as if
they were worth a million dollars to you and consider no
job as being too small, they can eventually lead you to
some great opportunities to expand your customer base.

Painting stars on ceilings is the world's easiest and most
profitable painting businesses to start. if you are looking
for a small business opportunity that offers instant income
whenever you need it, this is it.

It is called star mural painting and it is all about
turning people's bedroom ceilings into a night time
planetarium of stars. It is possible to make hundreds of
dollars per ceiling for just a couple of hours of pleasant
work. This makes it the world's easiest painting business.

As a matter of fact it is so easy a young teenager all the
way up to a 70-year old man can run their own star mural
painting business. The average star mural takes less than
an hour or two to complete and goes for around $250.

Just think if you did two star murals per day for a whole
week? You could earn $2,500 - $3,000 in just one week! This
is serious income and the market is endless as well.

More advanced star scenes that can increase your profits
per job include shooting stars, small galaxies, UFOs, space
battles, the Milky Way, etc.

The market is wide because of the fact that everyone loves
the idea of sleeping under the stars at night and almost
everyone has several bedroom ceilings in their home. Many
homes now have game rooms or home theater rooms also.

A star mural ceiling is invisible during the daytime but at
night the stars magically come to life when the lights go
out. This gives the illusion of actually sleeping under the
stars outdoors.

My wife loves our bedroom ceiling. It has the Milky Way
stretching forth across the night sky plus several of our
favorite constellations that are seen all night long.

Can you imagine what kids would think if they saw a ceiling
like this? Do you think they would want one just like it?
How about mom and dad? Many people like stars on their
bedroom ceiling because it sets a romantic tone.

Again, the average star mural goes for about $250 and takes
only an hour or two to create. An advanced star scene can
go for as much as a thousand dollars or more.

The best way to get good at creating stars on ceilings is
to get good at making your own demo posters to show to
interested people. Seeing is believing and once they see
one of your posters they will eagerly write you a check
then and there on the spot.

You can easily start with kids rooms. As you get better at
making these amazing star murals you can do more advanced
star scenes for teens and adults and charge premium prices.

Also, star murals can be created during the daytime and
offers you a chance to make as much as $2,500 - $3,000 per
week and MORE working just part-time hours. Again, this is
one of the easiest and most profitable small business
opportunities to start.

Painting Business - How To Get A Fast Start To Profits
Does it cost a lot of money to get a fast start in the
painting business? In all truthfulness, it will cost you a
fortune if you go about it the wrong way. Going into any
new business without knowing what you are doing is scary.
Believe me, I know from experience. I did it the hard way
and it was a bit rough at times.

I did O.K. stating out. I actually started my painting
business with just a handful of painting tools from my
garage. I had a step ladder and I borrowed an extension
ladder for a while when I needed it. I worked out of the
trunk of my car until I could afford to get a van. No one
seemed to care, so that was cool.

One small glass shop owner owner told me, "Buy tools as you
need them or as the jobs come in." That was good advice.
Each job may require a new special painting tool - so I
would just buy it with my down payment when new work came
in.

Where I really lacked was not knowing how to effectively
estimate new paint jobs. This can cost you a bundle if you
consider the amount of money you could have made vs all the
lost labor spent from under-bidding. There is nothing more
pathetic than seeing new painters giving away their work
and eating up hours of low or no pay. It happens all too
often. Especially with exterior work.

Plus, there is nothing worse than actually making good
money and then all the sudden having business dry up on
you. Especially around the Holidays. Having consistent work
lined up keeps you profitable. It also adds to your
estimating confidence. So knowing how to advertise your new
business effectively is also as important.

So if you really want to know the least expensive route to
go for starting a new painting business or any service-type
business, it is to get educated in the art of effective
advertising and estimating. This way you can make a nice
income right off the bat and keep your business going
smoothly and on a consistent basis.

Ideally this is the first painting tool you need to buy.
Business start-up information from a good source. The right
tools speed up any job. As a matter of fact, I have never
invested in a single painting tool yet that didn't make me
more money. So don't be afraid of spending a little money
on your painting business. Most of the tools are not that
expensive anyway. Your work vehicle will cost you the most.

Just as having the right painting tools will help you turn
your jobs faster, having the right business knowledge will
help you make better and bigger money faster. And you will
be making it on a more consistent basis. Not just busy this
week and slow the next. Instead, we are talking about
having jobs booked up for as much as 6 months in advance.
And you can still take a day off here and there if you want
to.

Getting a good manual written by a professional painter is
the first tool I highly recommend that you should invest
in. It only makes sense (and dollars). If it highlights on
estimating and advertising secrets it is a tremendous
shortcut to profits. This type of painting tool will
definitely put your painting business on steroids.

It is a wise investment in your painting business that I
promise you won't regret. It will pay for itself over and
over again. My first few years as a painter were rough but
you don't have to go through that same amateur learning
process.

Give yourself a fast start to profits today. Your customers
be impressed with your expert service. Your friends and
family will be amazed at your success also. Especially your
wife. And as the old saying goes, a happy wife is a happy
life!

How To Bid Painting Jobs - 6 Important Things To Consider
Estimating or bidding house painting jobs is something that
grows on you over time. I can go into any house and go from
room to room and tell you by eye exactly how much paint you
will need to do the ceilings, walls and woodwork.

I can even tell you just about how long it will take to
paint each room in general. But estimating many times goes
a lot deeper than just eyeballing a few simple rooms. So
here are 6 points to help you when figuring your bids or
estimates.

1.) Know Your Target Market

When getting prepared to do a painting estimate you first
need to know your target market or markets. Are you going
to be painting in middle-class neighborhoods or are you
going for the high-end glitzy neighborhoods? Or are you
going after commercial or industrial accounts?

Now you can you gauge how high you are going to set your
bid rates. You can have have high-end rates for larger
homes, or for commercial or industrial painting, and mid
prices for the rest.

Personally, when it comes to painting for residential
customers, I keep my rates the same. I do not care if it's
high-end or middle class. If they cannot afford my painting
services, I am out of there. Once you have painted at a
higher price, it's hard to go lower unless of course, you
are hard up.

If you are estimating painting jobs for big business you
can and should aim competitively high without worrying
about much competition as you would in residential
painting. Plus larger commercial customers have deep
pockets. Also to consider, if you are tackling those types
of accounts you will need extra painters anyways so you
definitely need to aim high in your bidding to cover their
wages and benefits.

2.) Fool-Proof System

You need an accurate estimating method that works perfectly
every time without fail. Whether inside or outside. You can
stand and stare at a project all day and try to guesstimate
exactly how long it will take you to paint something or you
can use an accurate method for bidding paint jobs and walk
away smiling and not wondering if you might bite the bullet
on that one.

3.) Allowances

You need to allow for fuel, travel time and even giving
Uncle Sam his cut. If your going to be driving long miles
you definitely want to account for fuel and travel time,
even overnight expenses if you get that radical in your
painting business. Again, if you have employees you will
need to account for their wages and benefits in your bids
also.

4.) Hidden Expenses

You need to be aware of hidden expenses or projects that
add extra time and extra materials to a job. Things like
hard to cover colors, excessive prep time, high-work, down
time due to outside sources that are common in new
construction, etc.

5.) Cost of Materials

You need to know how much paint and materials you will be
using. (Note: A good estimating system will automatically
include all your paints and materials.)

6.) Flexible Methods

Your estimating system should have several ways of figuring
your bids. Just like a set of golf clubs, some times you
need a different driver to make it on to the next green.
Different jobs require different painting estimating
techniques.

For example: painting ceilings, walls and woodwork
estimating can change if you have excessive woodwork like
walk-in closets with tons of shelving. Or rooms with high
walls.

The same goes for exterior work in residential painting.
Are the surfaces smooth and clean or is there stucco or
shingles that require extra time and materials? When you
have an easy system in place you can build up an estimate
to meet the type of project you are facing.

Many times on larger estimates, I will cross-check my
painting bid from different angles by using two different
estimating techniques just to make sure I have it all
together and did not leave anything out of the big picture.

Painting Business - 13 Point Checklist of Essential Tools Needed to Start a Painting Business
If you are considering starting a commercial or residential
painting business you will only need some basic low-cost
tools to start with. You can buy other tools as more jobs
come along and with your down payments. Here is a list of
the most essential painting business tools needed to get
you started.

1.) Quality Cage Frame - Also called a paint roller.
Wooster and Purdy both have strong, commercial-use cage
frames sold at most professional paint stores.

2.) Extension Pole - Get yourself a good medium-size
fiberglass extension pole for rolling out walls and
ceilings.

3.) Wall-Sander - I always sand walls and ceilings before I
roll them out. It cleans up cobwebs and anything else that
needs to be knocked down to make the walls and ceilings
smooth.

4.) Roller Bucket - I use Wooster's roller bucket. It is
tall, square and has a lid. It is made out of durable
plastic and balances a lot better than a paint tray and
washes out easy. It's a must have.

5.) Cut-in Bucket - I like to put some paint in a small
plastic bucket for cutting in. There are small 1-gallon
buckets of drywall compound that when empty make a great
cut-bucket plus they have a lid. They will last for years.

6.) Step Ladder - A nice wooden 5-foot step ladder works
great in most homes. If I need a 6-foot ladder I have an
aluminum one for that. Most of the time all I need is my
5-footer and I am only 5'6" so there you go.

7.) 16' Extension Ladder - Great for stairwells or
ranch-style exterior jobs. I use my 16-footer more than any
other size. I also have 20' and a 24' extension ladders,
but i couldn't get by without my little 16-footer.8.) Drop
Cloths - I like using the runner type the most. They are
inexpensive, light to carry and can be moved around the
room easily. I also have 9 x 12's on hand.

9.) Fluorescent Light - Interior painting without a
fluorescent light is nearly impossible, especially on a
cloudy day. Fluorescent light is a nice white light that is
great for painting and shows up the colors in their true
form.

10.) Tool Bucket - An empty 5-gallon bucket makes a great
tool bucket. I keep my pliers, a hammer, razor-blade
knives, a caulk gun, etc., in my tool bucket.

11.) Small Fan - I bought a $30 blower type fan made by
Stanley Tools from Walmart. It dries out walls and ceilings
quickly so you can get back to work cutting in and moving
around the room without it being wet.

12.) Drywall compound - I hate spackle. It flashes under
paint jobs. I get the Sheetrock brand of 90-minute
quick-dry drywall compound at Lowes or some other hardware
store for around $11. It will last me all year long. It is
in powder form and is simple to mix up on the job with
water in a small cut bucket. This way you don't have to
carry a heavey 5-gallon pale around with you that can also
freeze during the wintertime and can get lots of chunks in
it over time.

13.) Caulk Gun - I use painters caulk all the time to fill
gaps between woodwork and walls. Most paint stores have it
on hand. I use the 35-year interior/exterior type.

So there you have it. If you are considering starting your
own painting business and want to know how much it will
cost to get started this list will help you. I would guess
off hand that everything on the list totals around $300. If
you already have a step ladder and even a small extension
ladder, this will cut the cost down some.

Painting Business - How To Move Anywhere in the USA and Find Instant Painting Business Profits
Do you ever get tired of the area you live in? Have you
been thinking about moving to another state lately? What if
you could move to a nice quiet town or a warmer climate?

If this is the case, I have some tips listed below for
finding the best places to move and how to find income when
you get there.

I used to think that if I ever got tired of living in
cloudy, cold Michigan that it would be hard to relocate
somewhere else. I thought this because all my painting
customers are in the Kalamazoo area of Michigan.

But today, I realize that this not true. As a matter of
fact, I know that I could move close to any large city and
start getting painting business within 7 days and possibly
24 - 48 hours.

Because of being a house painter so long, (since 1991) and
the marketing methods I use, I can be up and running
instantly just about anywhere. All I would need is access
to a paint store and just a few other small resources.

Having your own service business, especially your own
painting business can give you financial security and
stability. It can even make you quite wealthy. Plus,
service-type businesses are needed all across the country.

Here are 6 things you would need to be successful in your
painting business if you wanted to relocate say, to a sunny
and warmer climate:

1.) a dependable vehicle - it doesn't have to be fancy. It
can even be a car. I worked out of my car when I first
started my painting business.

2.) a few painting tools - a step ladder, a small extension
ladder and a few other basic painting tools like a
fluorescent painting light, a roller, a paint pole, a
roller bucket, a few brushes, a few drop cloths, a work
radio, etc.

3.) a paint store - somewhere you can get quality paint,
buy painting tools, establish credit, etc.

4.) possibly a helper - If you have a buddy to help you
turn your jobs you can make just as much money twice as
fast. Many painters do work on their own though.

5.) good information on estimating and advertising - here
is the kicker. If you have had previous painting experience
but are unsure about how to bid or how to drum up business
on a low budget, you will need some good information from a
reputable source (i.e. a successful painting business
owner). Good estimating knowledge will pay for itself over
and over again.

6.) a cell phone - now days you don't need a land line
anymore. You can use your cell phone and voice mail to
receive customer calls. This is nice because you don't have
to be home to answer the phone. You can be on the job or
lying on the beach somewhere and still get your calls or
messages.

That is all that is really needed to live anywhere you want
in the USA and to have permanent cash flow for life. So if
you get the 7-year itch or whatever that means, and need a
fresh start, there you have it - a solid plan for
financial success wherever you want to go.

The only thing left to do is to figure out where you would
like to relocate to. A good way to find out where the best
places are to live is to visit some chat rooms or forums
online. Talk to others to find out what states are the best
to live in. Economically, Minnesota was rated number one
last time I checked, but who would want to live there?
That's colder than Michigan!

In Adding Value to Your Business Model, One Thing Leads to Another
As you consider the type of value you want to add to your
business model, you should also think in terms of what the
longer-term consequences are. Otherwise, you may create
short-term solutions that offer limited benefits.

For example, adding new variations on a fad toy, like a
hula hoop, will extend its life. Yet, at some point, the
fad will be over no matter what you do. The rewards of
offering those variations will not continue to expand into
the future.

By comparison, other improvements may have a geometric
effect over time, especially in rapidly growing markets.
For instance, EMC decided in the mid-1990s to make sure
that all of its storage products and software would work
with any server platform or operating system at no extra
charge. This change made it easier for a customer to
attach EMC's storage to their existing servers, and made it
less likely that EMC would lose a customer account in the
future after a new server vendor made a temporary or even
permanent inroad.

During the period when most other electronic storage was
not so flexible, EMC rapidly gained market share while
charging higher prices for its products, as its customers
highly valued this flexibility.

The most far-sighted companies consider how having a
benefit for customers in one area can be used to create an
important benefit in yet another area. For instance,
Paychex began as a company that provided reliable, low-cost
payroll services for small companies.

Paychex's leaders began to realize that many other services
that small companies need depend on having accurate payroll
records. Whoever is providing those records can do the best
job also in those other areas, saving customers lots of
time, money, aggravation, and government fines.

As a result, Paychex offers a whole range of
record-development and record-keeping services related to
employees that are built from the payroll database that was
its initial product line. Many of the company's customers
buy all of Paychex's services because of the accuracy and
time-saving benefits that its integrated systems provide.

Ultimately, the most valuable benefits are those which are
built on knowledge that cannot be duplicated in any other
way. For example, Ecolab began in the business of providing
cleaning chemicals for manufacturers, institutions,
restaurants, and other service providers.

For restaurants, Ecolab learned that it was more important
to restaurants to keep good relations with the health
inspectors than it was to simply have good cleaning
supplies. As a result, Ecolab expanded its offerings to
include the chemicals to sanitize everything in a
restaurant.

With its knowledge of the chemicals, Ecolab also added ways
to improve and maintain the equipment to make better use of
the chemicals. Later, the firm also defined itself as being
in the pest elimination, janitorial, floor care, water
treatment, and management advice businesses.

In each area, Ecolab carefully measures its customer's
experiences to locate what the best practices are.
Combining the expertise from these perspectives and many
customers that Ecolab has developed in each of these areas,
the company can show a customer how to save lots of money,
get better results, while paying normal prices for its
chemicals and services.

The cost reduction benefits are often a large multiple of
what Ecolab's products and services cost. Compare that
happy situation to the alternative of the immediate and
long-term costs of a restaurant's harmed reputation due to
having a facility closed down because of a health problem.
Imagine how much worse this problem is for the large
restaurant chains.

No local provider of any one of these services can hope to
provide a more effective combination of solutions than
Ecolab does. No new entrant can hope to gain the knowledge
that Ecolab has to create valuable, custom solutions at
regular prices.

As a result Ecolab is often the first choice of restaurant
chains. The added exposure to similar activities in other
end use markets (such as food manufacturing, as a similar
space for restaurants) provides even more chances to learn
and create customer benefits.

Having seen how well this expanded business model applies
to restaurants, Ecolab has duplicated this knowledge-based
benefit-development process for other types of customers.
Hospitals were an early and natural extension of this
concept.

As you can see, Ecolab is beginning to develop many of the
characteristics of an ideal business model.

at home in comfort the rest of the month and be able to
concentrate on your work.

If so, listed below are three great ways that you can start
your own part-time business and make some red-hot immediate
income on the side. This is also a great way to test the
waters before doing anything radical like quitting your
present job and going part-time on a full-time basis.

Way back in 1991, I decided to start my own house painting
business. I didn't plan on making it a part-time business
but that is what it shaped itself into over the years.

You see, I only work 6 hours a day on average and I never
work weekends so that amounts to only 30 hours a week that
I do work. The nice part though is that I make a lot better
money working part-time than I used to when I had a boss
and worked 45 hours a week.

I can actually make more in a day and a half painting than
I did all week long at my last regular full-time job. And I
can come and go as I please. I can't get fired or get in
trouble for being late either and I like that a whole lot.

Anyways, listed below are three easy to start, low-cost
part-time businesses. Each one can make you a quick $300 -
$500 for just a few hours work and over a thousand a week
if you wish. The reason I write about these 3 businesses
listed below is because I know them and they make me money.
These are 3 moneymakers that I specialize in.

#1 Residential/Commercial Painting Business: If you love to
paint this is a handy service you can render for the busy
homeowner. Many wives won't let their husbands go near a
paint brush. Many customers like having things done for
them. I started my painting business for practically
nothing and it gives me great immediate income whenever I
need it.

#2 Ceiling Star Mural Painting Business: Another great
part-time business. Star mural painting done right is
breath-taking. This is something new that is just getting
started. Kids and teens everywhere have glow stars stuck to
their ceilings. Just think if you offer families a
realistic looking star mural ceiling in their bedrooms!
There is no competition. If you are fascinated with the
stars this is an awesome business to get into and is
perfect for retirees as well as teens and college students.

#3 Drywall Repair/Finishing Business: Drywall Repair and
Finishing goes hand-in-hand with painting. You can easily
charge $300 - $500 doing simple small repairs like water
damage and texturing. I just finished a small repair job
for $335. It took me an hour and a half the first day and
the second day took 6 hours. Not too bad a wage for only 7
hours work.

You can also get small jobs hanging drywall. A customer
might have a basement or garage that they need drywall hung
in. Then taped, finished and painted as well. You will also
get asked to do the painting most of the time as well.

So there you go. 3 easy low-cost ways to start a full or
part-time business. All can be started for less than $500.
You can run them at 30 hours or less or turn them into a
thriving empire. You can even add them all together as a
home improvement business.

Painting Business - 3 Great Ways To Make Fast Cash in the Painting Business
Have you been looking for a business to start? An easy way
that you could make some fast cash? Have you been wanting
your own painting business but you don't want to quit your
job and possibly go broke?

Have you considered a painting business where you could do
some small side-jobs each month to make your house payment
and pay the bills? Maybe you are looking for something
better, but hey, this is a good start profit-wise!

Maybe you are mostly working at home right now and you
could use an extra $1,000 a month to pay the bills so you
can continue to work at home the rest of the time.

If so, listed below are three great ways that you can start
your own painting business and make some red-hot immediate
income on the side. This is also a great way to learn the
trade before going into it full time.

I started my own house painting business in 1991. Since
then I have learned quite a bit about interior and exterior
painting. I also learned quite a bit about drywall repair.
If you know how to get customers and how much to charge,
the rest can be learned as you go. When I first started out
I ate quite a few jobs because I didn't know how much to
charge.

Today I can actually make more money in a day and a half
painting than I did all week long at my last regular
full-time job. And it's fun to be able to relax and enjoy
your work knowing that you are going to get paid well for
it.

I have listed below three easy to start, low-cost
businesses that revolve around my painting trade. Each one
can make you a quick $300 - $500 for just a few hours work
and over a thousand a week if you wish. The reason I write
about these 3 businesses listed below is because I know
them and they make me money. These are 3 proven moneymakers
that you too can specialize in.

#1 Residential/Commercial Painting Business: If you love to
paint this is a handy service you can render for the busy
homeowner and business owners as well. Many wives won't let
their husbands go near a paint brush. Many customers hate
to paint and would rather pay someone else to do it for
them. I started my painting business with just a few basic
painting tools and a beater car. My business over the
years has given me good immediate income whenever I need it.

#2 Faux Painting Business: If you like faux painting, you
can take on small jobs here and there. Get yourself some
basic faux painting tools and a 2' x 3' sheet of plastic to
practice different patterns on and you will get the hang of
it fast. If you like this type of painting business you
could get small one or two-room jobs per week and make a
thousand dollars per week even. Faux painting offers high
profit margins if you get good at it.

#3 Drywall Repair Business: Drywall repair goes
hand-in-hand with a painting business. You can easily
charge $300 - $500 doing simple small repairs like water
damage and texturing.

As an example, I just finished a small repair job for a
total of $335. It took me an hour and a half the first day
and the second day took 6 hours. Not too bad a wage for
only 7 1/2 hours work. $10 of the money went for gas,
another $3.50 for a roller cover because I painted it up
one fast coat. I used maybe $2 worth of drywall compound in
the quick-dry formula. So I netted about $320 or $40 per
hour labor.

You may also get small jobs hanging sheets of drywall. A
customer might have a basement or garage that they need
drywall hung in. They will want you to tape and finish it
as well. You will most likely get asked to do the painting
also and this can double your profits.

So there you go. 3 easy low-cost, time-proven ways you can
start a painting business or painting-related business. All
of these variations can be started for less than $500. If
you did just one small job a week it could mean an extra
$300 - $500 or $1200 - $2,000 a month extra income.

Starting A Small Business - How To Find One That Will Produce Instant Cash Profits Anytime You Want
Are you tired of the program you are currently on? I mean
are you working way too many hours and would like a make a
drastic change in your life for the better? Are you looking
to start a small business and get free from a job so you
can make some really decent money?

Looking back now, years ago when my kids were young, I
could have walked away from my 7 day a week factory job and
I could have started making the same money (or better)
working just a small part-time business as a house painter.

It's like that Rod Stewart song where he sings "If I only
knew then what I know now". With all the overtime I was
getting I still could have beat that job by a mile. I could
have went to from 56 hours a week to just 30 hours per week
with better pay.

As an example, I have been a house painter for years now.
If I get slow and need business, I can go out and get
something going within a few days. And then I stay busy for
weeks or longer. Most of the time longer.

My small, part-time, painting business has been one of the
easiest and fastest ways for me to make instant cash. No
waiting two weeks or longer for a paycheck, no one to say
why are you late again?

No one to tell me that I cant take a day off from work
anytime I want to. No more having to work with someone that
I don't like. And best of all, if I can't get the money I
want to make, I walk away clean on to the next potential
customer.

Have you thought about a small business that produces
instant cash flow anytime you need it? A part-time business
where you could work just 6 hours a day or less, yet make a
full time income? Or just to replace the job you currently
have that you absolutely hate?

Just think if you had a way to make an instant $300, $500
or even a thousand dollars or more anytime you needed it
without having to borrow it. The power to be able to sit
down and write out checks to pay those bills anytime you
need to.

To be able to afford to take your wife and kids out to a
nice dinner on Friday night or Sunday afternoons. To be
able to take a really nice vacation, or buy that new dream
car, buy gas, etc.. Before starting a small business you
must ask your self a few important questions. Questions
like:

1. What do I enjoy doing the most or know a lot about that
I could turn into a profitable small business or part-time
business?

2. How much money would I really like to make? (think big)

3. How many hours do I really want to work?

4. How much start-up capital will I need?

5. How can I get an unlimited flow of customers? (this
guarantees continuous profit)

6. Can I do this thing anywhere and still make money?

7.) Can I do this just as a part-time business and still
make great money?

The idea is to think big, but at the same time be realistic
about it all. Most people think that to start a small
part-time business that they will only probably make an
extra $500 a week.

Which is not bad by the way. But when you think about Uncle
Sam wanting his part plus the cost of gas and the amount of
time you may have to spend, only an extra $500 a week may
not look all that appealing.

To make a pure $500 a week, taxes will take about 20%. So
that drops it down to $400 and if you have to drive
anywhere, that could suck up another $50 a week dropping
your final weekly profits down to $350.

So the idea for starting a small business or part-time
business is to think big. Think low hours, low mileage, big
profits. Find a niche market that you already have
experience in or would enjoy learning and doing. It could
be anything from an interesting cooking related business to
an automotive repair idea or service. The secret is your
desire, personal experience and to not be afraid to think
big or creatively.

Painting Business - The Top 10 Things You Must Know To Run A Successful Painting Business
I started my own painting business back in 1991. As someone
who had done painting in the past I figured I knew all
about how to paint. I was wrong.

So, exactly how much painting experience do you need to
start a painting business of your own? Below are the top 10
things you should know to become a successful house painter.

1. You need to know basic stuff like when and why to use
primers.

Example: You cannot paint latex over alkyd (oil base)
unless it was a "flat" sheen like wall paint. Otherwise you
will get "peeling".

Neither can you paint new alkyd enamels over existing alkyd
enamel finishes without priming first with an enamel under
coater primer (whew!). Otherwise "chipping" will occur. A
common error with older alkyd enamel woodwork.

2. You need a system for getting your prep work done fast.

Example: For instance, when painting walls, I will apply
the first coat of paint before I do my common drywall
repairs of things like holes, stress cracks, loose tape
seams, etc. That way you get to know the walls and the
trouble areas show up easier because of the fresh paint.

3. You need to know the best time-saving techniques or
speed tips to make the most money per job. Things as simple
as having a fan around to quickly dry freshly painted walls
and ceilings so you can get going on cutting in the second
coat.

4. You need to know which paints are the best to use. Once
I find my favorite products I stay with them because I know
them well and how they perform. Also, I like to use name
brand leaders like Benjamin Moore. Name brands that
represent high quality to the homeowner. Cheap paint takes
more effort and doesn't make your job look as good
afterwards anyways.

5. You need to know how to do basic drywall or plaster
repairs. Basic repairs like loose tape lines, fixing water
damage, etc. When I fist started my painting business I
didn't even know how to fix a hole in the wall caused by a
doorknob (a common repair).

6. You need to know about stain blocking. Stains like water
spots, ink spots, etc. that permeate through latex
finishes. Ignoring stains causes bleed-thru. I use a simple
spray product for interior spot priming that stops ink and
other spots dead in their tracks. It's called "Krylon
Fusion". It dries to touch in just a minute or two, even
though it's solvent-based.

7. You need to know about hard to cover colors. Certain
colors can take 3 or more coats to cover well and you need
to know what you can use to combat this and speed things
up. And even how to charge extra for this also.

8. You need to know about staining and varnishing. Many
painters cannot match stains properly. You can do it easily
if you know just one simple trick. Also, staining and
varnishing new windows is a snap once you know how.

As a matter of fact, it's easier and more fun than painting
the windows and can command higher profits because most
people are afraid of staining. (Remember, everyone thinks
they know how to paint right?, but staining is another
story!)

9. You need to know effective advertising. A new painter
cannot afford expensive advertising that doesn't always
work well anyways. Placing a Yellow Pages ad can take 7 or
8 months to come out. You need fast, cheap, effective
direct marketing secrets and alternative methods that get
customers immediately like clockwork whenever you need them.

10. You need to know about estimating. Most new painters
wind up eating their jobs and leave a lot of money on the
table. Especially on exterior bids. When you know how to
effectively estimate all your work you will make a lot of
money as a painter, guaranteed.

Online Sales Recruitment - Does it Work?
Sales recruitment in the 21st Century

The majority of businesses regularly need to fill sales
vacancies; in a global competitive market the need to hire
the best sales people is increasingly critical to business
success. In this first article in the series we take a look
at the different options, the respective costs, the time to
recruit and the probability of success.

Direct hiring ' small and medium sized business managers
and owners frequently take on the recruitment process in an
attempt to minimise cost, however without human resource
management expertise and qualifications, they are often at
risk of failing to make impartial decisions and ultimately
being in breach of the plethora of employment laws.
Effective assessment of a sales person's competence and
suitability to sell a specific product or service in a
specific country and to fit the culture of the organisation
is a complex process and one that line management all too
often get wrong, unfortunately past performance is no
guarantee of future success.

Direct hiring can still be successful provided a few basic
steps are taken, make the process consistent by using a
standardised set of questions at each interview. The
questions should test the person's competence at each stage
of the sales process, this is best achieved using situation
based questioning and by making sure that the question is
fully answered and the answer recorded for comparison
against other candidates. The use of psychometric testing
can add value and objectivity to the hiring process, as can
tests for numeric and verbal reasoning, this decision is
mission critical so why not minimise the risks.

You have chosen to go down the direct hiring route, but in
this highly competitive market finding applicants for sales
positions is increasingly challenging. The number of
unemployed people in many western markets is at an all time
low and many successful sales people are enjoying high
levels of success, how are you going to get you sales job
noticed? The alternatives include placing an advert in the
local paper, national paper, specialist publications,
unfortunately the response rates can be depressingly low,
producing few if any suitable applicants. Print media is
still an expensive from of advertising and with such poor
response can prove expensive and futile.

Online recruitment has become increasingly popular; a quick
search on Google for "sales jobsites" reveals over 5
million results worldwide, so where do you begin in the
challenge to find an appropriate online source of sales
candidates for your sales job? As with many things
recommendation and referral are a good place to start, but
this is not a night out, do you know anyone else with
experience of recruiting sales people online? Regardless of
whether or not you can get advice on which site or sites to
use, there are some important tests that you need to carry
out before choosing your online recruitment partners. But
don't be fooled by biggest is best, in the UK the two
largest jobsites, Total Jobs and Monster have less than 7%
market share, are they going to attract the right selection
of sales people to fill your sales job? I doubt it, in my
next article I will explain the various means of assessing
if a jobsite or website is likely to meet your specific
needs.

21st Century Recruitment - Choosing the right jobsite!
In this second article in the series we take a look at
recruitment utilising jobsites, A quick search on Google
for the word "jobsite" instantly gives you 451000 search
results, so where do you begin? Like so many things word of
mouth can seem a good place to start, unfortunately
everyone involved in recruiting staff has a favourite
jobsite and they unlikely to tell you that the one they are
currently paying for does not give value for money as it
would make them look a fool for having chosen to buy the
jobsites services in the first place.

Before beginning your search there are a few basic
questions to ask yourself and to make this process easier
to explain I am going to use an example. I am seeking to
hire a sales manager for a bank, so I now go to Google and
search for banking sales jobs to see which sites such a
jobseeker would come across first, the site currently
holding the number one spot is .

Great so I have now found the best site to use it must get
the largest number of candidates visiting it; well perhaps
we should investigate the site further to see how it is
going to help us find that top flight sales manager for our
bank. First I do a search on the site for sales manager
banking in the UK and get 104 vacancies in the results,
although not one is for a major retail bank, this might
just put off my candidate, but before we give up we will
delve a little further. Now we look for the page of
services for recruiters, The information for recruiters
page gives me some information on the services available
and yet gives me no information on prices, all I am offered
is contact forms, a phone umber in the USA and some
testimonials that are anonymous, there is no demographic
information as to how many visitors the site receives or
any evidence that supports how effective the site is.

I now go to the post a job page and find I am offered the
option of paying online and that a single advert for the UK
market will cost me a staggering $985 which even with the
historic high of sterling against the dollar is very
expensive and I have been given no evidence as to what kind
of result I should expect for my money. Ask for a free
trial as well as some evidence of the likelihood of success
in filling your sales job before using this site or any
other site that gives so little information or evidence up
front,

In the next article in the series we take a look at a
jobsite that has been designed to maximise the utility of
both sales jobseekers and sales recruiters and to offer
excellent value for money,

21st Century Recruitment 3rd Article
What makes a good sales recruitment jobsite?

A few basic things are critical to the success of a sales
recruitment jobsite, or any specialist jobsite for that
matter. Why am I only discussing specialist jobsites and
not generalist jobsites, I think that will become apparent
as we progress our discussion using a sales recruitment
jobsite as our specialist example.

The few critical factors that will make a specialist
jobsite work for you the recruiter are very much common
sense. Firstly the right potential candidates must be
attracted to the site, secondly the jobseeker must be
enticed by the site to search and apply for jobs and to
register there details so that recruiters can contact them
in the future. The third criteria relates to you the
recruiter, the site must be easy to use and give you access
to the right candidates in a timely and cost effective
manner. All sounds fairly easy so far, so how do you go
about assessing if you are about to spend money using the
right jobsite? You could take a free trail and some sites
do offer this, however many do not and how much time and
energy do you have available to waste testing out
inadequate sales recruitment jobsites?

Returning to our first factor, the right potential
candidates being attracted to the jobsite, just how does a
jobsite go about attracting the right jobseekers to the
website? The following is a list of the major routes to
achieving this goal

* Search Engine Optimisation
* Email Marketing
* Pay Per Click Advertising
* Affiliate Programmes

* Blog marketing * Directories

* Offline Marketing - Television and Print Media

All of a sudden it does not look so simple and if a good
jobsite is using all of these marketing and promotion
techniques to drive quality jobseekers to the site, how do
you know if they are doing it and doing it effectively,
with some specialist sites charging as much as £400
for a single advert, getting it wrong could be a serious
mistake.

If we go back to our good old friend Google, it can give us
some insight. For example I am a recruiter wanting to
recruit sales people. I know that Monster Jobs is regularly
advertising on TV and all over the web, it is quite
expensive which makes you think well perhaps that is
because they invest a lot of money driving jobseekers to
their collection of global jobsites. A quick search of the
URL for monster UK, as you are recruiting for a sales
person in the UK gives over 85000 results that contain a
mention of monster.co.uk. A more detailed search link: URL
is a bit less impressive at 5600. All these statistics may
be very interesting to people working in SEO and online
marketing, but to you as a recruiter are they going to get
you the candidates that you need, simple answer is no. If
we get a bit more specific about our recruitment needs as
the majority of recruiters needs are very specific, we are
looking for a sales manager for a UK bank. What would this
person search for when looking for a jobsite, (this of
course only gives you access to active candidates) perhaps
they would search for "sales jobs" or "banking jobs" or
even "sales manager jobs in banking" as people often search
for exactly what they are looking for. So where does
Monster come under each of these searches, for "sales jobs"
it does not appear on the front page, either in the natural
ranking or in the pay per click sponsored advertising. Next
I carry out the search for "banking jobs" and I get a
result monster is 9th in the search results, not bad. So I
click on the link imagining I am the banking sales manager,
ready to do my search for sales management roles in
banking, I select London from the location search box and
now I go to select the job category and the closest match
to retail banking that I work in, is retail customer
service and hit the search button. The results are for
junior cashier roles and for general retail sales jobs not
in banking, I as the prospective jobseeker am so impressed
that I close my browser and go back to work. Finally we
test monster against the search phrase "sales manager jobs
in banking" and yet again monster is not on the front page.
So Monster Jobs is not for us in this example, what you
really need is a sales recruitment jobsite that is going to
attract and retain the details of the candidates that you
need. The question is does such a jobsite exist? We will
explore this together further in the next article in the
series.

21st Century Recruitment 4th Article
What a good jobsite looks like?

This fourth article in the series is more a checklist and a
series of questions to ask yourself before parting with
your cash, with the thousands of jobsites available on the
Internet today the challenge of choosing the right one or
right ones for your recruitment needs is a real challenge.

The look and feel of a website is crucial in attracting
visitors to use a site, factors such as how attractive the
site is are important, but not as important is its clarity
of purpose and the ease with which you can navigate the
site. What does all this web speak mean, well it means is
it easy on the eye, is it clear what the site is about and
is it easy to search for jobs and apply for them as a
candidate? The aforementioned are just a few of the basics
but it is amazing how many jobsites do not meet these basic
standards.

Other key factors to consider from the candidate or
jobseekers point of view are key:

* Are their a good number of jobs on the site appropriate
to the specialism of the site? Answer should be YES
* Is there an accurate job search function that includes
all relevant job types, location and salary range? Answer
should be YES
* Does the candidate have to register to apply? Answer
should be NO
* Can the candidate be alerted to new jobs matching their
search criteria, by email and by sms? Answer should be YES
* Can the candidate register and put their CV in a database
and then apply for multiple positions? Answer should be YES
* Does the site have vacancies from employers as well as
agencies? Answer should be YES
* Does the site allow registration and the ability to be
selected by recruiters for contact against search criteria
without compromising personal identity? Answer should be YES

Factors to consider from a recruiter point of view include:

* Is there third party evidence of site traffic and
demographics available? Answer should be YES
* Is there a FOC trial available? Answer should be YES * Do
you have access to a searchable candidate database? Answer
should be YES
* Do you have a choice of payment options and flexibility?
Answer should be YES
* Can you receive direct applications from candidates that
do not wish to have their CV in a database? Answer should
be YES
* Are their opportunities to promote your vacancy in
prominent areas of the site? Answer should be YES And
finally do such job sites exist? In my next article I will
begin evaluating the jobsites that do meet these critical
tests

Fighting your way to the top for
Few greater challenges face a webmaster than getting a
front page ranking for the right keywords and key phrases.
The keyword sales jobs is the one that the busness I am
currently working with is challenged to become top ranked
for Sales Jobs. The site is an international sales
recruitment jobsite, so the owners made the smart decision
to call the busness just that The Sales Recruitment Jobsite
and the url for the site is the same as the business name,
just dropping the "The" as this is a stop word and not a
good thing to put in your domain name.

So what next did we need to do to make sure we got the all
important front pages of Google, Yahoo and MSN? Well the
next step before the site was even built was to submit the
url with a holding page to Google, thsi was done so that as
soon as the site was built Google would start indexing the
pages and we could build that all important page rank. If
you want to know th page rank of your site then download
the google toolbar and it will tell you the page rank of
every site you visit. Why is page rank important, well on a
scale of 0 to 10 it tells google's spiders how important
your site is and how long to spend indexing all of its
pages and this influences Google's algorithm and finally
where you end up in the search engines. What do you need to
do to get your page rank or PR to increase, its simple just
get thousands of high PR sites that are relevant to your
site to link to you and preferably without you linking to
them. Not as difficult as it sounds try link directories.
We managed a PR of 2 before the site even went live.

Another all important step is your site design and contant
the the structure of how the pages link together. Your
Title tag, and meta tags and the site page content, all
taking into account your goal of gettig top ranked for
between one and three keywords or phrases per page. Our
goal is to get the home page top ranked for Sales Jobs. If
you take the link from the resource box on this page you
can see how the key word or phrase sales jobs is used
throughout the page without going over the top. The first
few words on the page are all important.
